Hello,
I hope everyone is doing well. My thoughts were going on a rampage and the subject of a whole art explained through a single technique came to my mind. Now for my question:
In Wing Chun, as was explained to me by sifu a long time ago, every technique permeates the other as to form the whole art (did I get that correct...sifu?). As I understand it Wing Chun has the 3 main techniques of fook, bong, and taan from which most of the other hand techniques evolve. I have read and heard how the masters of old were sometimes able to explain their systems through a single technique. Can we safely say that the same can be said of Wing Chun? Can we explain our whole art through a single technique...like the taan...just to state an example?
Best regards to all, _________________
